AUXILL 3 Fasen Voraxial Separators

AUXILL’s Voraxial Separator is a continuous flow turbo machine that generates a strong vortex which separates a mixture of fluids or fluids and solids by their specific gravities. These separators are used for liquid-liquid, solid-liquid and solid-liquid-liquid separation.

Operation principle

The machine is self contained and driven by an electric motor. Its internal flow components are constructed of SS 316. All separators serve as pumps in the system. The heavier elements are drawn to the outside of the vortex while the lighter material is drawn to the central core of the vortex. Once the vortex separation is established the flows are separated by a simple flow divider into two streams, one of the heavier matter and one of the lighter matter. Separators are available in 1″, 2″, 4″, 8″, 16″, 32″, 48″, 72″, and 100″. Specials can be produced for any possible flow rate.

Applications

  • Petroleum refining
  • Oil field applications
  • Oil spill cleaning
  • Waste water treatment
  • Food processing waste separation
  • Ventilation
  • Dredging operations
  • Shipping (ballast, bilge water).

Benefits

  • Enhanced low shear performance
  • Non-clogging
  • Low maintenance required
  • Light weight
  • Compact
  • Low power consumption.

Efficiency

The separator is able to separate all types of oil from water. Tests have successfully proven that the oil content can be reduced to less than 5 PPM of oil to water. For heavy particle separation, the principle of operation is specific because of different gravity weight. Any material heavier than media such as sand, metal chips, silt, etc. is centrifugalized to the outer periphery and discharged through the patented manifold.
